New season, new team members

The Finnish Air Force display team Midnight Hawks prepares for the airshow season 2012 with two new members.

The new pilots are captain Henri Vormisto, who served as the rookie member in 2011 and captain Henrik Väre, who has previously flown the Training Air Wing solo Hawk display plane. Vormisto will be flying the Hawk #2 on the left wing of the leader and Väre will fly the Hawk #4 in the slot position. Captain Olli Väätäinen, who flew previously in the #2 position will be the new team leader on the Hawk #1. The 2011 team leader captain Joni Kankaanpää will serve as the team supervisor, Midnight Hawk #7, in 2012. Captain Timo Koskiniemi who flew slot in 2011 retires from display flying after three seasons with the team.
The Midnight Hawks is currently in the process of preparing and rehearsing their flight display for season 2012. The new display programme and air show dates for the upcoming season will be announced later.
