59th World Military Pentathlon Championship

The 59th World Military Pentathlon Championship will be organised in Finland in Lahti,13th – 20th of August 2012 by the Finnish Defence Forces. 

The Army Command will organise the championship together with the Häme Regiment. The commander of the Häme Regiment will act as the chairperson of the committee. 

The  competition will be governed by CISM (International Military Sport Council) regulations.

We are expecting approximately 200 competitors and 150 team staff members from 30-35 different countries to Lahti.

    Finland to host Military Pentathlon World Championships for the first time

    The Finnish Defence Forces will organise the CISM's 59th Military Pentathlon World Championships in August 2012. The championships will be held in Finland for the first time. The patron of the games will be the Minister of Defence Stefan Wallin. The overarching theme of the International Military Sports Council’s championships is Friendship Through Sport.
