Welcome to the Finnish Air Force Aerobatic Team

The Midnight Hawks is the official aerobatic team of the Finnish Air Force. The team with its four Hawk jet trainers has proudly presented the consummate flying skills of Finnish military pilots in air shows in Finland and abroad since 1997.

The team's internationally renowned trademark is the extremely close diamond formation of the four Hawks. The team derives its name from the annual Midnight Sun Air Show at the team's home venue, the military airfield at Kauhava, in which the team traditionally puts up a spirited display under the midnight sun.

All display pilots are full-time qualified flight instructors from the Kauhava-based Training Air Wing and fly with the team as a non-established task. Formation aerobatics require grueling training and commitment, yet being chosen as a member of the Midnight Hawks is an honor and offer no one can turn down.
