  Digital version of Finnish Defence Forces’ Annual Report 2012 now online

  This is the first time the Finnish Defence Forces’ have published their annual report in digital form. The online publication automatically recognises whether it is being accessed from a computer, tablet or smartphone, and adapts itself accordingly for easy viewing.

  Finnish Defence Forces preparing to take over command in Lebanon - new duties for reservists

  The Finnish Defence Forces are preparing to take over the lead from the Irish in the Irish-Finnish Battalion in the UNIFIL Operation from November 2013 onwards. As a Lead Nation, Finland’s contribution will increase from 176 soldiers to ca. 330. The President of the Republic of Finland made the decision on 15 March 2013
